How to install Better Combat
Better Combat takes one of Forge, Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt. Player-animator go in beside Better Combat. 1.18.2 to 26.2 is the Combat range. It shares Combat with 4 others.
- 1Install Forge for the Minecraft version you want Combat on. Better Combat lists 23 of them, 1.18.2 to 26.2. Forge, Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt each work for Combat, one at a time. A profile on another version never starts Combat.
- 2Put player-animator in first: Better Combat will not load without. Same version and same loader as Better Combat. Player-animator is not optional for Combat. 1 file go in before Combat.
- 3Drop the Better Combat jar into the mods folder. The jar goes in whole, Combat unpacks nothing. A pack with Combat already has that file in place. The server needs that same Combat file.
- 4Start the game and look for Better Combat in the mods list. Combat has to be on the server too before it counts. The log names the file when Combat refuses. 3 packs and 4 loaders carry Better Combat.
